Dedicated Medical Detox

A detox program provides inpatient medical care for people going through withdrawal symptoms. For many entering drug and alcohol rehab, it’s an essential first step in the treatment process. Withdrawal syndromes can be serious in some cases and often require medical attention.[1]

Medical detox provides vital sign monitoring, medication, and other treatments (e.g., hydration support), tailored to individual needs. Usually, medical detox lasts for around 3-10 days, until the acute withdrawal stage ends.

Is Inpatient Rehab Covered by UHC Community Plan in Idaho?

Yes, in many instances, this form of treatment is covered. And the inpatient drug and alcohol rehab programs at Icarus Wellness and Recovery provide highly structured care in a safe, supportive environment.

Starting each day after breakfast, clients participate in a full therapy schedule, consisting of:

  • Daily group therapy.
  • Individual therapy (held at least once per week).
  • Family therapy. Family members are encouraged to engage in weekly sessions, if appropriate for the client.
  • Evidence-based treatments, such as motivational therapy for addiction, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, 12-step, and trauma-focused therapies.
  • Recreation and supportive treatments. For example, art therapy, outings, and yoga.

Inpatient addiction treatment clients live on-site for the duration of the program. Aftercare planning helps clients prepare for life after inpatient rehab. Typically, participation in outpatient services is the recommended next step.

Outpatient Rehab for Addiction and Mental Health Treatment

Icarus Wellness and Recovery offers multiple levels of outpatient care. This includes our:

  • Partial hospitalization program (PHP). Partial hospitalization programs provide daily therapy on an outpatient basis. Sessions last for most of the day. PHP can act as an alternative to or step down from inpatient rehab.
  • Intensive outpatient program (IOP). Usually, IOP lasts for about 3-4 hours per day, allowing the time and flexibility necessary for clients to balance responsibilities like work or school with treatment.
  • Outpatient program (OP). The next step down from IOP, clients in our outpatient program get therapy 1-2 times per week.

The right starting level of care may vary for you based on factors, like current symptom severity. We believe in a collaborative approach. During the admissions process, you’ll work with our health care providers to decide on the right starting level of care for you.
