ToggleExplore Treatment and Your PacificSource Benefits at Icarus Idaho
Cost is a common barrier to addiction treatment. Understanding your insurance benefits can help you plan for care.
At Icarus Wellness and Recovery, our admissions team can review your PacificSource benefits, explain potential costs, and help you explore treatment options in Boise. Coverage depends on your specific plan, recommended services, and provider participation.
This guide explains questions to ask about PacificSource drug rehab coverage and treatment at Icarus. Call our admissions team with your plan information for help with the next steps.
Does PacificSource Cover Drug Rehab?
PacificSource plans may include benefits for drug and alcohol treatment. Our admissions team can help you understand which benefits may apply to care at Icarus, including provider participation, authorization requirements, and estimated out-of-pocket costs.
Call us or request a review of your insurance benefits. This review is provided at no charge and with no obligation to enroll. If questions arise, our team can help you explore the next steps with PacificSource.
Review times vary by plan and the information needed. Our team will explain what to expect and discuss an intake assessment, program options, and availability with you.
Ongoing Treatment and Outside Withdrawal Care
Icarus Wellness and Recovery offers ongoing addiction and mental health treatment in Boise. Our admissions team can help you explore these options and review your PacificSource benefits.
External Withdrawal Care Before Admission
Stopping drugs or alcohol can cause withdrawal symptoms. Icarus Idaho does not provide on-site medical detox or acute withdrawal care. If withdrawal care or medical stabilization is needed, a qualified outside medical provider should assess and manage it before admission.
An outside evaluation, detox referral, or clearance may be appropriate before ongoing treatment begins. Confirm coverage and costs for outside care with the provider and your insurance plan.
Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab Programs
Inpatient drug and alcohol rehab programs are a type of substance use treatment where clients eat, sleep, and live at a treatment facility for the duration of their program. A lot of the time, we find that substance abuse clients benefit from inpatient treatment because it provides a reset from addictive behaviors. Inpatient rehab provides a structured environment to support recovery and help you build new habits.
Inpatient treatment can be more costly out-of-pocket than other types of treatment options, like outpatient programs. Your plan may help with eligible treatment costs. Our admissions team can explain the benefits that may apply and discuss an estimate of your share of the costs.
Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehab
Unlike inpatient programs, our outpatient drug and alcohol rehab programs do not require clients to live on-site at Icarus Wellness and Recovery. Instead, clients participating in our outpatient treatment options live at home or stay in sober living while getting compassionate care during the day. Icarus Idaho offers several types of outpatient programs, including our:
- Partial hospitalization program (PHP), which meets daily throughout the week. Our partial hospitalization clients follow a schedule with a time commitment that reflects that of a typical work or school schedule, so most clients take time off of work for this level of care.
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP), which usually involves coming to Icarus Idaho three days per week. Sessions are also shorter than they are for partial hospitalization clients. This makes our intensive outpatient program ideal for clients who need to balance obligations like work with addiction recovery.
The outpatient programs at Icarus Idaho can be used as a starting level of care or as a step down from our inpatient rehab programs. If your recommended level of care changes, our team can help review the benefits and authorization requirements for the next program.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment and Your PacificSource Benefits
Many people facing substance abuse will also have a mental illness. If this is the case for you or your loved one, Icarus Wellness and Recovery is an excellent choice for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. Icarus Idaho provides dual-diagnosis treatment for clients facing both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health concerns.
In research, dual-diagnosis treatment is linked to positive outcomes such as reduced hospitalization and a greater likelihood of recovery from (or effective management of) both disorders.

All Icarus Wellness and Recovery clients–regardless of whether you are here for mental health or addiction treatment–get aftercare treatment plans. Aftercare planning is important because it sets you up for success after rehab.
As a Pacific Source policyholder, your aftercare plan may involve referrals to therapists and other providers accepting Pacific Source, job and education planning, sober housing, support groups, or something else that supports your recovery process.
